Ashley Graham shares photo of twins breastfeeding at the same time

Ashley Graham gives fans a taste of what it’s like to breastfeed two children at the same time. (Hint: exhausting.)

“tired. but here we are,” Graham captioned an Instagram post on Friday.

In the powerful photo, Graham, 34, is seen breastfeeding her nearly 5-month-old twins, Malachi and Roman. The model and her husband, filmmaker Justin Ervin, are also parents to 2-year-old son Isaac.

Last month, Graham opened on her Tandem Feeding Instagram Stories. In the photo, she was shown sitting upright in a chair.

“It took me a good few weeks of trial/error and lots of tears to steadily catch,” she wrote. “My doula, who is also a lactation consultant, has been so sweet and kind to me in helping the three of us figure out how to do this together.”

Jennifer Meyers, certified nurse midwife and Mayo Clinic spokesperson, previously said TODAY Parents that twin nursing can be quite difficult.

“It requires strong milk supply, and often requires additional help and support from family, a spouse, or a lactation expert,” Meyers explained. “It’s also important for mothers breastfeeding twins to do so frequently, to increase production and resolve any latch issues as soon as possible to meet their baby’s demands.”

Graham is one of many women trying to help break the stigma around breastfeeding in public.

“Honestly, the more we release something to the world, whether it’s on your social media, whatever, I think that’s the most important thing,” she said. “Entertainment Tonight” in 2021. “We’ve never had this platform before. We can really talk about things that we are passionate about, that we want others to know about. »

“For me, breastfeeding, whether or not you do it as a mother, should just be normalized,” she added.
