Families seek help from lactation counselors amid shortage of infant formula

Doctors and healthcare professionals are struggling to manage the current shortage of formula and the importance of postnatal care and education.

Lactation Consultant and Head of Boram’s Postnatal Retreat, Melissa Kotlenjoined Gaelle Guyardo the host of the national health and wellness show Bloom with postnatal care and education tips that are essential for new moms in the United States to help them with lactation and other ways of take care of the baby, which can help the baby’s current crisis lack of formula.

Kotlen also helped launch Boram’s first postnatal retreat in the United States.

The Boram Postnatal Retreat is the first-ever dedicated postnatal center in the United States, which launched in New York City over Mother’s Day weekend 2022. The innovative center, nestled on the 9th floor of the 5* Langham Hotel , has 16 deluxe rooms for families and their babies, with key amenities including a baby room for when parents need a rest from their newest addition, a lounge for new mums to socialize.

Bloom airs in 40 markets nationwide, with a reach of approximately 36 million households, as well as Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and Madison, WI.
